Join us for a fully immersive & hands-on experience to expose students to the creative expression and career path of writing, performing and recording music through the lens of west coast hip hop and rap!

Students will:

• Work with & learn from professional writers, rappers, recording artists and recording engineers

• Participate in a lyric-writing workshop to create their own original lyrics and raps

• Gain skills in the art of rapping and performing of their original songs

• Get a chance to record their original raps in the World Famous VIP Records recording booth

• Learn about the recording process and various careers in the recorded music industry

• Leave with their own original recorded track

This experience supports student engagement, career exploration & skills development, social-emotional health & WIOA networking goals.
